Create A Company In A Hyper Competitive Market

What’s up ? This is THE stephane ANDRE !!! I watched an Olivier Roland’s video  and I learned some good stuff.

People often tell me that they want to create a blog, a Youtube channel or a company but the market is very competitive and they wonder if it’s worth it. It’s true that in markets like personal development, fitness or photography, these are markets where you will not start in the same way as in a market where there is little competition.

It’s not because the market is hypercompetitive that you have no chance. The main thing is to differentiate yourself from others and to allow people to connect with you. That’s what happened to me a few months ago. I was looking for podcasts on fitness and I found Shrugged Collective . But I didn’t like the guys voice so I changed to The Model Health Show  and I like this podcast. These 2 podcasts are listened to by thousands (or millions) people and what is important to understand is that these podcasts can’t please everyone, it’s impossible.

There are people who will like what you do and there are people who will hate what you do. This is why there is a place for everyone. In theory, you can offer exactly the same product/service as many other people in a market but there are people who will buy your products/services rather than others because people have more feelings with you.

Shrugged Collective and The Model Health Show are the same thing, they’re podcasts about fitness. What makes the difference isn’t the content (because now, a lot of people make good content) but the podcast’s voice. The question you ask yourself when you’re listening a podcast is : « Am I going to spend hours and hours listening to that voice and that kind of elocution ». It’s the same with companies, especially on internet when you do Personal Branding (reputation) when you allow your audience to connect with you.

Have Your Own Authentic Style

It’s like in everyday life, there are people who will like and others who will hate you because we’re human beings. When you buy a computer or a smartphone, who will you buy it from ? You’ll buy it from people you like the most and it’s normal.

Of course, having your own authentic style isn’t the only way to differentiate yourself. But attention, it’s not because people like you that you’ll automatically have a business that works. It’s necessary to have an idea that has economic potential. What I have noticed is that people neglect the importance of connecting with the audience, the community or the clients.

I know there are people following me because they have a good feeling with me and not with my competitors. And others have a good feeling with my competitors and not with me. It’s not a problem, it’s normal, it’s human and it’s part of life.

Don’t be afraid to enter a market with hypercompetitiveness, there is always a place for you. In this case, it’s necessary to realize that it will be difficult to make your place in a competitive environment. It’s difficult because you should be in a market where there are behemoths. But the advantage of a competitive market is that you know it’s a profitable market because there are already a lot of people living on it.

Amazon is the best example. Amazon begun to do partnership affiliation in 1997 and it always has success.

How it work

Once you’re registered in the Amazon’s affiliation program, you can create a special link for all Amazon’s products. This special link allow you to have commission if a person buy an Amazon’s product. You can use your special link everywhere in internet like in a blog’s article. What is cool with this concept, it’s Amazon pays you a commission without change the final price for the customer.

Fore exemple in a blog’s article THEstephaneANDRE.com, when a person click on my Amazon’s special link for a book than I recommend and buy this book, I receive on sale around 6 %. It’s not a big deal but that’s how it works.

Yes, it’s important because it’s difficult to have conversion rate more than 10 % of your audience. And 10 %, it’s huge, usually most companies have 1-2 % of conversion.

No matter what you do, you will always have 90 % of your audience who will never buy you anything. This is explained for several reasons, for exemple, companies that sell information, « personal branding » is very important. People who follow me, do it because they like my personality and among them, 90 % of my audience find good what I do but it’s not special then they will buy any of my products/services.

On the other hand, this 90 % can buy in another company a product/service similar but with some differences and it’s theses differences that make it special for them.

You see when you have a company, you know that 90 % of your audience will never buy your product and it’s the same situation for your competitors.

Well, is it better that everyone stays in his zone with 90 % of the audience who will never buy or propose a partner’s product that might interest them ? In which case there is the best growth ? It’s in the case where all partners promote other. Do you see how it’s cool ?

Now you understand partnership affiliation, I think you’re wondering if you’re going to have to promote something you don’t like ? To avoid it, I recommend you to have only 4-6 partners that you like really. Parnters with whom you share same values and they have a good ethic. By this way, you know their products are good and they will never betray their clients. Sorts your partners.

If a partners no longer fits your values, say it and stop working with him. Don’t hesitate.

When you find good partners, you improve you company and partner’s companies.

You will be able to reach levels that you could never have reached on your own.

Of course, everything isn’t perfect, there may be different but it’s possible to have a groupe of friends you can trust.

My advice is to make affiliation, find companies that compete with you and have the same values as you to use in a better way the 90 % of the audience who doesn’t buy anything.

Remember, Bill Gates (Microsoft) and Steve Jobs (Apple) worked together several times and look at what they have become.

You company can help you to avoid discrimination. Discrimination is something real in our society. According to skin color, country of origin, sex, diploma, etc, you may be victim of discrimination. People can refuse you to hire, be paid less or not evolve at the same speed as the others, etc and it’s often insidious. Nobody will tell you in front but it’s in the thought of people.

Create your company is one of the best way to hack discrimination and to ensure that you suffer less of this discrimination.

Look, when you use a product or a service from a company, do you ask to see boss and employee diplomas ? No, because you see that this company is effective and it meets your needs.

But when you’re looking for a job, you know that diplomas are important. If today, it’s hard to you to find a job you like because you don’t have the diploma or you stopped school too early, create your company allow you to hack this problem efficiently.

Attention, there are some domains where this hack doesn’t work like medecine, lawyer or notary. Diplomas are necessary for these protected jobs but it’s a minority of jobs in relation to all jobs of the world.

Let’s be clear, it doesn’t mean that discrimination will disappear by magic. By exemple, if you’re in a racist or sexist environment that you’re employed or that you created your company, you will have the same problems but there is a way to have a company which greatly reduces discrimination. Create an internet company help to reduce discrimination because people doesn’t ask to have face-to-face interaction. You can sell in the whole world and you don’t have to put your picture on your website. By this way, you hack discrimination. Even if you choose to developp your « personal branding », you have a huge leverage in the whole world that you help you to hack effictively discrimination.

It requires to have an entrepreneur’s mindset, take matters into your own hands and move your ass.

I’m not saying that we shouldn’t try to change society but changes in society take decades. Here you have a concrete solution to reduce discriminations that keeps you from evolving as fast as you want
