What’s up ? This is THE stephane ANDRE !!! I watched an Olivier Roland’s video and I learned some good stuff.

There is a trick to avoid being a workaholic that the majority of entrepreneurs don’t do. It’s to have a productive activity outside of work (because the company is based on a passion). If you’re not sure what a productive activity is, you can read this article I wrote. Click here ].

A lot of entrepreneurs are workaholics, which means that they’re work addicts. It’s not really a bad behavior, especially in the early years of the company because there are many new things to learn and few employees. But in the long term, it can block you to achieve the success you should have.

When I say « work addict », I don’t mean that a person is an addict like with cocaine, heroine, crystale methamphetamine, etc. We, human beings, are afraid of emptiness. This is very well explained in the Tim Ferriss book « 4-hour Workweek » . For example, you become more and more efficient using the 20/80 method (Pareto’s law) and you manage to earn 2 hours of free time per week. Now, what are you going to do with these 2 hours of free time ? Are you going to sit and count the insects ? No ! And as today more and more entrepreneurs have a laptop, they’ll continue to work on the laptop.

The problem of working during free time are :

  • Too much nose to the grindstone and do things that aren’t really useful. It prevents you from having peace of mind, serenity, being creative, decompressing, taking a step back, etc.
  • Work to work. For many people, consciously or unconsciously, if they don’t work, they’ll be bored. So they’ll do things that aren’t really useful to be busy. We can call it « intelligent procrastination ». With « intelligent procrastination » people around you see that you’re working but it’s not things that really make your company evolve. For example, spending 2 days choosing the font and colors of your website is « intelligent procrastination ».
  • In the long term doing things that are not really useful for the company’s evolution, will have negative effects. You’ll lose you serenity and have more stress. The symptoms of this state of mind are that you have the impression that everyone is stupid. At that moment, you have to take a holiday right away, otherwise you’ll have a burn-out.

I know it’s a little paradoxical because the first years of the company, you have to work as much as you can because there are lots of things to do and there is no budget to pay employees, but it’s important to have a productive activity to keep the balance in your life.

Usually when you start looking for an idea to start a company, you make a list of the things you like to do the most. This productive activity can be one of those things from the list that wasn’t used to create your company. This can be an activity such as flying a plane, kickboxing, meditation or something else that allows you to relax and forget about work.

Don’t hesitate to write this productive activity in the comment section and if you don’t know, make a list of things you like to do to get ideas.

It’s true that a frequent question, how to optimize taxation when we start a company.

It’s extremely simple. Here are the 3 most important steps to do when we create a company :

  • First step => sell

  • Second step => sell

  • Third step => sell

The only thing that is important is to find customers who are willing to pay for your products/services. Everything else is superfluous.

Spend all your days looking for ways to pay as little tax as possible or have a Zen office to stimulate your creativity or create your website with the best design in the world, all this is superfluous. This is intelligent procrastination.

To grow your company, you need to find customers in the most efficient way possible.

Be profitable

The truth is that you’re going to ask yourself how you can optimize your taxes when you ask yourself: « Wow, I’m paying too much taxes now, I need to improve that ! ». When you ask yourself this, you’ll have ways to pay a specialist’s service. And it will also mean that your company is profitable, which is excellent.

It’s normal for an entrepreneur to minimize costs as much as possible to make the company profitable. But taxes shouldn’t be an obsession because it can make you forget the company’s mission. Your company isn’t profitable because you pay the minimum taxes. Your company is profitable because of the added value of your products/services.

So when you start your company, the 3 most important things are to sell, sell, and sell to have a profitable company.

Dispersing In Several Projects

I know several people who explain their projects and 6 months later, they explain a new project and so on. I think you know people like that too.

It’s a problem that happens very often and to understand that, you have to see the 3 steps of a project.

Fist step – start

This the excitation step. You discover project’s elements and everything is wonderful

Second step – crossing the desert

This is the step where you understand that you must give a lot of effort for little result. What is frustrating in this step is seeing people who have many years of experience doing incredible things easily while your work like crazy to do a basic thing.

Third step – experience

This is the step where, thanks to the experience you accumlated in the crossing of the desert, you begin to master the elements fo your project to make better progress.

What happens is that there are a lot of people who addicted to the first step : start. This is understandable because it’s in the step where everything is wonderful. When it’s necessary to go to the second step : the crossing of the desert, these people find a new project to redo the frist step.

Changing project for all the time to stay in the first step is a type of intelligent procrastination. These people avoid every second step, they want to have excitement without having the disadvantages of being persistent in something.

In this case, intelligent procrastination is about giving you a good conscience by telling yourself and others that you’re doing something positive for your project. But inside, concretely, you avoid doing the most important things to do to advance your projet. For exemple, you worked for months designing your Amazon website (this looks like a good idea) but since the creation of your website , you have done only 2 sales (it’s really a problem).

Projects are means to reach your final goal. The first thing you need to do is to determine your final goal and then select projects to do to achieve this goal. For exemple your final goal is to become a successful author and your project is to have a blog where you’ll write chapters of your book.

Becoming conscious of your final goal is important but it’s not enough. You need to take action to complete your project because therse projects are just means to reach your final goal.

There is another phase, it’s that after a certain time, you need to select a minimum number of projects. Successful entrepreneurs are entrepreneurs who know how to say « NO » and it’s really important. You can’t succeed in all project in your life.

How to select a promising project ? This is what you’ll want to know during the first step : start. This is the start step that will let you know if you’re ready to go to the second step : crossing the desert. It’s obvious that there is always a risk in the choice of a project. That’s something we can’t avoid at 100 %

One way to have more perseverance is to have organization, increase the strength of will and increase discipline. These are elements to work on a daily basis.

Be Radical For Success

Here is a trick to radically solve one of your problem. I know a lot of people who come home in the evenining after school/work and each evening they think playing video game for only 1h. Unfortunately, they all end up playing at 1:00 in the morning. Everydays they think they will stop to play so long but it doesn’t work. They do procrastination and their projects don’t advance. They don’t have time to work on their projects.

I have a solution for you, sell your Playstation ou your Xbox on eBay ! I know what I’m talking about, I like video games. I bought video games when I was in Tokyo. But you know, since I play radically less video games, I don’t miss. Not yet played Final Fantasy XV (my brother finished it) doesn’t stop me from sleeping at night.

By doing that, I won several hours a day to train and develop my blog.

Eliminate

This solution is simple, effective and it works for other things. This radical solution frightens us but it’s simple to use it and it sovle 99 % of the problem.

Imagine you want to lose 5kg (11 lbs). There is 2 options :

  • When you go home and you want to cook something, your fridge is filled with pizzas, ice cream and soda.

  • When you go home and you want to cook something, your fridge is filled with chicken, vegetable and water.

Which fridge is the most effective ? The truth is that it much simpler to not resist because there is no temptation. So the radical solution to solve your problem is to eliminate temptations that prevents you from reaching your goals.

We all have goals to reach in 6 months or 1 year and we need to protect our dreams. Be radical to protect your dreams and don’t procrastinate. Each day, one step closer.

It’s the fact of spending an infinite time on details to be sure that everything is perfect. It can be an advantage but often it’s a huge disavantage. Because we spend months, years to create something perfect in his/her room and when we launch it, we realize that everybody don’t care.

It’s a student of the BloggerPro training who is a marketing internet’s teacher in a prestigious business school. He has refistered for this training but he thought he doesn’t need to do everything in this training because he’s a marketing internet teacher. He just took things who interest him. Result, he spent 2 years to write a painting book to make masterpiece and when his book launched, nobody buy it.

Then, he did again the training using all anti-perfectionism techniques. Result, he made a first product he sold 25 000 euros in one week. It was a training about the color mixture in paint.

Yes, perfectionism can be also a procratination’s type, an intelligent procrastination. In contrary of stupid procrastination, it’s procrastinating while feeling well. When we procrastinate stupidly, we don’t do something that we promised to do saying we will do it tomorrow. And we will feel guilty.

Intelligent procrastination, we’re choking under a lot of work. We can believe that we make progress but we just avoid something that scares us.

There is a lot of authors, entrepreneurs, globe-trotter, people who have great ambitions fall into it because they’re afraid to confront reality. They’re afraid to fail or they’re afraid to have success. It’s unconscious, they want it to be perfect. They will remain within a theoretical framework. They will be the best in the his/her room. « Lean Startup » method  help to have success.

The method is to set up as soon as possible in the field a prototype, a minimum viable product. It’s a method anti-perfectionism. We will focus on the 20 % of features/actions that will bring the 80 % of the result, 80 % of what people want.

And we will bring these 20 % as soon as possible in the field to be confront with reality to see if it’s good or if it’s need to have adjustements.

If you’re writing a book, try to confront you with reality as soon as possible. Develops a community when you begin to write the book. This community will help you to promote your book but also you can show to your community your ideas and see how your community react. See if what you write interest really people. A blogger who have a blog called «  Personal revolution » have wrote a novel several years ago. This novel called « The woman without fear » that was in the top 100 of Kindle’s sales during several months. How he wrote this novel ? He did in form of episodes in his blog. There a lot of famous authors who wrote novels which were the basis of soap operas published in newspapers. You can do the same thing today with your blog. You can write a part of your first chapter so that you community can give you feedbacks. You community will give you ideas, suggestions. If’s a kind of co-creation to write the rest of the story. In addition, it puts you in a anti-procrastination process because you’re creating the audience that will be waiting for the next. It will boost you.

Say your goal to the world and ensure that people follow you to ask about your evolution. The interest is that you will involve peope who will then broadcast what you have done when it’s completed. This blog wrote the half of his novel in his blog and with the help of his community.

You see the process ? He wrote a novel adapted to his audience because of feedbacks of his community. He knew, the day of the lauch of the book, there is already a community of people who were motivate to buy the book because they wanted to know the rest of the story.

There are some days I watched a super interesting JamCore DZ’s video (in french). In this video, he gives some advices to overcome obstacles in training.

Obstacles that prevent you to succeed are in two categories.

Category A

Lack of discipline

Without discipline you have nothing in life. Everyone knows and the Matrix attack you every day with viruses to destroy your discipline. Less you have discipline, more viruses will be more powerful day by day to prevent you from reaching your goals.

Virus List :

  • Procrastination

  • Disappearance of responsibility

  • Depressed

  • Fear – you feel like a dumb, you don’t love your life.

  • Total loss of self-confidence

  • Mental block

Lack of discipline triggers all these viruses and you live a life of existence instead of a life of substance.

Category B

In this category, it’s mental virus that affect your body. This is regarding the training.

Don’t be realistic

People aren’t realistic to loss weight or gain muscle. They think only 3 weeks or 3 months is enough. You want to lose fat ? Ask yourself a question : « It took how long for your body to be in this situation ? ». Now you have the answer ! You will not lose that weight at the speed of light because you will need discipline. Gain muscle, it’s similar. Build a body takes time. Steroids or no steroids ! Everything takes time in life. Just don’t take steroids, it’s really better for your life.

Complication

People complicate things too much. It’s why they can’t succeed. In the world, there are good and bad information and internet amplified everything. It’s up to you to do your research, it’s up to you to study how you can evolve your body by analyzing the information. Many people are creating scandals to get attention and it’s up to you to unmask them. If your life is too complicated and you’re gonna give up.

Consistency

Most people aren’t consistent. They start and they stop, they restart and they stop, they restart and they stop and they wonder why they don’t succeed. When a person starts without stopping, results are there.

Training based on week

Your training isn’t judged on week, it’s judged throughout the year ! Lose fat or gain muscle, it’s on all year. Look yourself now and look yourself a year later, this is the way to think. Don’t think a week but by 6 months or 1 year. The body you have now will not be the same in 6 months or 1 year, if you do things right. You have to have an attack plan ! Without a plan, you’re screwed in life. Have you ever seen an army without a attack plan ? With this plan, you’ll have objectives and objectives will give you daily discipline.

When you have daily discipline, you will increase your self-confidence, it’s automatic. When you reach 2-3 goals in a day, you feel good before sleeping. When you reach 0 goal in a day, you feel bad before you sleep, you feel like a dumb. This self-confidence will increase from week to week, from month to month and nobody can tell you anything because you have the disciple.

To continue to increase your self-confidence, you must protect yourself. There are 2 things :

  • Your environment – your environment is very important. Surround yourself with positive people who do the same thing as you, because if you surround yourself with fool, your self-confidence going away and you will be in « fool » mode.

  • Your support – your support is very important that can be friends, family, boyfriend or girlfriend.

When we’re surrounded by positive people, we inspire on each other to be better. When we’re surrounded by fool, we become stupid.

When you increase self-confidence, you increase your focus. You’re not distracted by unnecessary things.

When you increase your focus, you increase your happiness because you realize your daily goals and you’re proud of reach them. Day by day, from week to week, from month to month, from year to year, you accumulated the number of objecives reached. Nice scores !

When you increase your happiness, you increase your determination because you see that your plan is working. Ready for the next level ?

With this solution, with your plan, viruses of categories A and B are ineffective. The Matrix will try every day to send you these viruses but you build your kingdom and nobody can invade your kingdom !

Il y a quelques jours, j’ai vu une vidéo super intéressante de JamCore DZ . Dans la vidéo, il donne des conseils pour vaincre les obstacles à l’entraînement.

Les obstacles qui t’empêche de réussir sont dans 2 catégories.

Catégorie A

Manque de discipline

Sans discipline tu n’as rien dans la vie. Tout le monde le sait et la Matrix t’attaque tous les jours avec des virus pour que tu manques de discipline. Moins tu auras de discipline, plus les virus seront plus puissants de jours en jours pour t’empêcher d’atteindre tes objectifs.

La liste des virus :

  • Procrastination

  • Disparition de la responsabilité

  • Déprime

  • La peur – tu te sens comme un raté, tu n’aimes pas ta vie.

  • Perte totale de confiance

  • Blocage du mental

Le manque de discipline déclenche tous ces virus et tu vis une vie d’existence au lieu d’une vie de substance.

Catégorie B

Dans cette catégorie, c’est les virus mentales qui affectent le corps. C’est ce qui concerne l’entraînement.

Ne pas être réaliste

Les gens ne sont pas réaliste pour la perte de poids ou pour gagner du muscle. Ils que 3 semaines ou 3 mois est assez. Tu veux perdre de la graisse ? Poses toi une question : « Il a fallu combien de temps pour que ton corps soit dans cette situation ? ». Maintenant tu as la réponse ! Tu ne vas pas perdre ce poids à la vitesse de la lumière parce que tu auras besoin de discipline. Gagner du muscle, c’est pareil. Construire un corps prend du temps. Stéroïdes ou pas stéroïdes ! Tout prend du temps dans la vie. Juste, ne prend pas stéroïdes, c’est vraiment mieux pour ta vie.

Complication

Les gens compliquent trop les choses. C’est pour cela qu’ils n’arrivent pas à réussir. Dans le monde il y a des bonnes et des mauvaises informations et avec internet tout a été amplifié. C’est à toi de faire tes recherches, c’est à toi d’étudier comment tu peux faire évoluer ton corps en analysant les informations. Beaucoup de personnes créent des scandales pour attirer l’attention et c’est à toi de les démasquer. Sinon ta vie sera trop compliqué et tu vas abandonner.

Cohérence

La plupart des gens ne sont pas cohérent. Ils commencent et ils s’arrêtent, ils recommencent et ils arrêtent, ils recommencent et ils s’arrêtent et ils se demandent pourquoi ils ne réussissent pas. Quand une personne commencent sans arrêter, les résultats sont là.

Entraînement basé sur la semaine

Ton entraînement n’es pas jugé sur la semaine, c’est jugé sur toute l’année ! Perdre de la graisse ou gagner du muscle, c’est sur toute l’année. Regarde-toi aujourd’hui et regarde-toi une année après, c’est de cette façon qu’il faut penser. Il ne faut pas penser par semaine mais par 6 mois ou 1 an. Le corps que tu as maintenant ne sera pas le même dans 6 mois ou 1 an, si tu fais les choses bien. Ce n’est pas en faisant les épaules 2 fois par semaines que tu vas avoir des épaules larges comme Simeon Panda en 3 mois.

Tout est basé sur 1 année à cause de ta récupération, de ta nutrition et de ton évolution durant l’année. Il y a des moments dans l’année où tu auras des empêchements (professionnel/privé) qui vont affecter ton entraînement. Oui, cela arrive. Tu connais une personne qui s’est senti bien pendant 365 jours ? Non !

Impatience

L’impatience te met en mode « idiot ». Les gens sont trop impatients. Ils commencent, ils arrêtent et quand ils recommencent, ils font des conneries. Sois-disant pour avoir des résultats plus vite. La seule chose qu’ils vont avoir vite c’est la blessure.

Tu dois avoir un plan t’attaque ! Sans plan, tu es foutu dans la vie. Tu as déjà vu une armée sans plan d’attaque ? Avec ce plan, tu vas avoir des objectifs et ces objectifs vont te donner de la discipline quotidienne.

Quand tu as de la discipline quotidienne, tu augmente ta confiance en toi, c’est automatique. Quand tu as fait 2-3 objectifs dans une journée, tu te sens bien avant de dormir. Quand tu as fait 0 objectif dans une journée, tu te sens mal avant de dormir, tu te sens comme un raté. Cette confiance va augmenter de semaines en semaines, de mois en mois et personne ne pourra rien te dire car tu as la disciple.

Pour continuer a augmenter la confiance en toi, tu dois te protéger. Il y a 2 choses :

  • Ton environnement – Ton environnement est très important. Entoures-toi de personnes positives qui font la même chose que toi parce que si tu t’entoure de cons, ta confiance vas disparaître et tu vas être en mode « idiot ».

  • Ton support – Ton support est important cela peut-être les amis, famille, petit-copain ou petit-copine.

Quand nous sommes entourés de personnes positives, nous nous inspirons les uns les autres pour être meilleur. Quand nous sommes entourés d’idiots, nous devenons idiot.

Quand tu augmente la confiance en toi, tu augmentes ta concentration. Tu n’es plus distrait par des choses inutiles.

Quand tu augmentes ta concentration, tu augmentes ton bonheur parce que tu réalise tes objectifs quotidien et tu es fier de les avoirs accompli. De jours en jours, de semaines en semaines, de mois en mois, d’année en année, tu accumules le nombre d’objectifs réalisés. Beaux scores !

Quand tu augmentes ton bonheur, tu augmentes ta détermination parce que tu vois que ton plan fonctionne. Prêt à passer au niveau supérieur ?

Avec cette solution, avec ton plan, les virus de la catégorie A et B sont inefficaces. La Matrix essayera chaque jours de t’envoyer ces virus mais tu as construis ton royaume et personne ne peut envahir ton royaume !
