Mass Or Weight Gainers Are Useless

mass weight gainer

I watched a Jamcore DZ’s video  and I learned good stuff.

Mass or weight gainers are visual scams. Here the reason. You think you gain muscle because you bulk up but the truth is that you gain water and fat.

Why

why

Dose

Gainer’s dose are huge, it’s between 170gr and 250gr of powder. 250 gr of powder in water, it’s too weird !?! Let’s look at the powder’s composition. There is maltodextrin, the cheapest sugar in the business. Take it before, during and after the training session with dextrose is good to recover and recharge your glycogen stock. The problem is when you take gainer outside the training phase, you gain fat.

If you’re an endomorph, someone who gains easily fat, you’ll not improve your body, you’ll worsen your situation.

Compositon

Most gainers have between 46 % and 66 % of maltodextrin. Some even 80gr per dose ! It’s crazy.

Most people think they’ll gain muscle with this kind of product. They go in a shop, the seller their advice this and it’s gone. The truth is that you have to educate yourself, eat healthy, be focused on training and have patience. It takes several years to have muscle mass of good quality.

There is also a mix of whey protein. Thus, casein, concentrate, isolate and a little be hydrolysate to make people believe that the gainer is good quality. There is also creatine and the disadvantage of creatine is that it makes you retain water. That means when you think you gain muscle, in fact you do water retention. You look good in front of your mirror but when you dry or you stop to take gainer, you realize that you have less muscle mass than you thought. You deflate like a balloon, pffffffff.

We must stop delirious ! Track your food, track your training program, struggle like everyone els and be patient, it’s the only way to gain muscle mass of good quality.

Jamcore DZ (Jamo Nezzar ) is a former professional bodybuilder (IFBB). Even taking steroids, he took 8-9 years to gain 25kg (55lbs) of muscle. The problem with steroids is that destroy your organs and when you stop, you spend the rest of your life doing hormone therapies if you’re still alive. And it costs a lot of money, you can check it on internet.

I tell you already, all the pros or youtubers that you admire will not be there is 5 years. I’m telling you this because I’ve already won bets.

Meals

Each meal of the day must be between 400kcal and 600kcal. If you eat more than 1500kcal per meal, you’ll gain fat. With gainer you gain fat without knowing it.

Healthy gainer recipe

  • Whey isolate

  • Oatmeal => 1/2 cup  (slow carb, fiber)

  • Banana

  • Almond/Peanut butter => 1 tablespoon or coco oil (good lipid) or linseed

Mix it with water or organic milk or coconut/almond milk

healty mass weight gainer

Whey isolate is 25gr of protein, oatmeal is 16gr of protein and peanut butter is 10gr of protein. Total => 51gr of protein. You save money and you eat great source of protein.

I hope I convinced you to not take weight or mass gainer !

What was your experience with mass/weight gainer ?

How To Plagiarize Others Smartly

plagiarism plagiarize

I watched an Olivier Roland’s video  and there is good stuff.

Plagiarize others smartly without copy what they do but have an efficient inspiration. It’s possible copying something people don’t think about.

Olivier Roland talked with a youtuber and this youtuber told him he has completely plagiarized Casey Neistat. Casey Neistat  is a famous youtubers with more than 80 millions views. The truth is this guy copied the video’s structure of Casey Neistat. The thing is copy the sturcture of something that works and not the content.

Star Wars

star wars

You know Star Wars of George Lucas, these films are famous but George Lucas copied a structure. Joseph Campbell wrote a book called « The hero with a thousand faces ».

In this book, Joseph Campbell analyzed a dozen of myths around the world. Old myths we still hear today. He did it for several reasons. First, for him if there myths with thousands of years are still told today, there is a natural selection for myths. Only myths interesting to the human mind have survived. Second, if we analyze myths from Africa, Europe, oceania, asia, america, etc, we can find the common point they have. Joseph Campbell found what he call the « monomyth ». It’s a narrative structure in stories that talk deeply to human mind in a universal way.

When George Lucas discovered the Joseph Campbell’s work, he had already begun to write Star Wars but it was a revelation and he rewrote a big part of the scenario following exactly the Joseph Campbell’s sturcture. There is a lot of movie and books that use this structure like Matrix. It’s funny to compare the structure of Star Wars and Matrix with the monomyth’s structure.

Structure

structure

It’s always smart to copy structures that work. When you see something that work don’t look the content as 90 % of people do, try to analyze the structure. In which order the content is presented, what rhythm, what type of interruption, etc.

Olivier Roland did improvisational theater for 3 years. The concept is to ask to spectators a subject and create a story with this subject. It’s not easy but every story has the same structure so just take the subject and tell it with this structure. Improvise the content without improvising the structure, it’s cool.

This is the monomyth of Joseph Campbell :

  1. A hero receive a call to adventure. In Star Wars episode 4, it’s 2 droids that have a message from the princess Leia to Luke.

  2. The hero refuses the call to adventure by this way we can be more connected with him/her. We appreciate him/her because he/she like everybody. He/she is not really courageous. A hero is someone who become a hero. In Star Wars episode 4, Luke doesn’t really refuse. It’s his uncle and aunt who tell him to stay at the farm.

  3. A trigger will encourage the hero to accept the call of adventure. For Luke, it’s his family that gets killed.

  4. During the trip, there is a lot of problems, incidents and the hero will meet people who help him/her. Typically there is as archetype the old sage, the princess, etc. There are also enemies who will put the hero to the test.

  5. At the end, the great confrontation with the wicked.

Here is the structure of all classic stories. Braveheart has the same structure. You can watch a youtuber and try to understand the video’s structure. It isn’t easy to do reverse engineering because we aren’t used to doing it. We don’t think about it but you have to know that the structure make at least half of the success of something.

We can copy at 100 % a structure. It can make at least half of the success without anyone noticing it and without ethical problems because a structure is a method. It’s cool, right ?

Use it for you

use it

What do you want to succeed absolutely in your life ? Who reached these goals and what method he/she used ? What is the structure of this method ? These questions can help you to discover a key for your success. You can find the sources that allowed this person to have this structure. It’s so interesting to find inspirations of people who inspire us.

What structure did you find ?

Future Of Entrepreneurship Is Knowledge

knowledge

I watched an Olivier Roland’s video  and there is good stuff.

Knowledge is the future of web entrepreneurship. Bill Gates published a text on 1st march 1996 « Content is king » . Read these sentences :

« Content is where I expect much of the real money will be made on the Internet, just as it was in broadcasting ».

Since 1996, we see that his prediction is confirmed.

Today with content, we can do more than most of companies did until now. Usually companies try to have loyal customers. With content we can create a truly tribe of fans. Seth Godin explains this in his book « Tribe » .

Seth Godin is a marketing’s visionary of 21st century. He anticipated a lot of change with the irrution of new technologies. As the way how companies communicate with theirs prospects, customers and now theirs communities.

All companies should create content even bakers, shoemakers or plumbers. We know today, content allow you to create a tribe of fans to have a truly privileged relation with your community.

The future

the future

Content is the future because more and more functions in the job will be done by softwares, robots or outsourcing to low-cost countries. It’s the last years we can see humans taxi drivers and truck drivers. Quickly automatic cars will come and they will disrupt the entire industry of taxi and truck. Uber made its first delivery with an automatic truck (https://www.wired.com/2016/10/ubers-self-driving-truck-makes-first-delivery-50000-beers/). Uber invest a lot in automatic truck technology.

A lot of jobs will be do by algorithms. A book talk about this « Homos Deus » . Even a job as doctor will be disrupt by new technologies. Within 20 years, we will have sensors in our body or in watches, jewels, smartphones. Theses sensors will measure a lot of parameters in our body, upload those data in the Cloud and we will have access to diagnostic softwares more efficient than doctors. It already exist, IBM sell its Watson’s system to hospitals to reduce the number of medical error .

The truth is we can’t guarantee to anyone that his/her job will still exist in 20 years. And if you job still exist in 20 years, it will be deeply disrupt by new technologies.

It’s here knowledge’s economy intervent. We had agricultural revolution then industrial revolution and now we’re in information revolution. It means if you’re in information industry in 2016, you will be placed among jobs which are going to be the most difficult to disrupt by softwares, robots and outsourcing in low-cost countries. I can’t guarantee you that your job will still exist in 20 years but you will be well placed to accompany this wave of change. May be you can cause it a little bit on your scale.

The key to ressources and wealth in 21st century, it’s how to circulate information and knowledge freely. Old companies try to stop this revolution, they try to stop companies like Uber, Airbnb, etc. but it’s like beavers that make dams to stop a tsunami. We must embrace change, we must have a flexibility of mind and initiative that allow is to adapt to 21st century. If not all industries will be finished like music industry. Do you remember Napster  ?

Learn online

learn online

There will be more and more important place for people who teach this kind of state of mind because school don’t do it. Beyond this state of mind, there will be an ongoing need for training on key competencies because the school has a too much great inertia. If you follow a computer course at the school, you can be sure that school is behind on what is happening now on the internet. It’s cool to have the basics but it’s better to have computer courses online with competent person.

There will be enormously weath that will be exchanged for richess of content, because this content is necessary to be able to adapt continuously to the change of 21st century.

If today, you want to be in the knowledge’s economy like blogger, youtuber, eBook writer, etc. Don’t hesitate, it’s now to create your place and consolidate it to be among people well placed in 21st century to bring value to others and generate value (added value).

Each entrepreneur should check the value he/she brings to the world. Create a new Pepsi is good but like said Steve Jobs : « it’s just sell water with sugar to people. It’s not what will improve the world ».

My Documentaries

my documentary

There are some days I watched a Gary Vaynerchuck’s video. This video is really interesting and he gives solid advice because it’s an interview with one of his client. Everything is filmed and it’s advices he gives to the majority of his clients at the first appointment. If you don’t know Gary Vaynerchuck, do a research on Google  or DuckDuckGo to know more about him but what I can tell you is that he helps his clients to use better social media to grow theirs companies.

gary vaynerchuck

The simplest way is to go on his YouTube channel  and you will understand why I subscribed to his channel.

There is a concept that I hadn’t yet understood to add content in my blog or my social media : « Document VS Content ». Sometimes when I don’t have inspiration and the idea of documenting about the evolution of my blog and my training is a great idea. I’m sure you look vlogs on YouTube ? In fact, you watched a part of a youtuber’s day, right ?

We like to know the people who give us advice or inspires us and that’s normal. It’s for this reason that vlogs works well.

This is why I will document the evolution of my blog explaining plugins I use, the ecosystem I have with my social media and what I’ve learned with the course of The Family  for startups and others like Gary Vaynerchuck, Tim Ferriss or Olivier Roland.

the family

Documenting my workout to follow the evolution of my performance and my physique. I start it but I had separate exercises and nutrition. This time I do a category where I explain my exercises, my nutrition, my workout’s feelings but especially new things I learn to improve my body like calculating my bodyfat, calculating my basal metabolism to optimize my diet to reach my goals, etc.

I always listen to the advice of people who living the advice they give. We both know that there are more and more fancy people in this world and we quickly scammed. But beware, if I do this, it’s for me, it’s a way to have better track of my evolution of athlete and entrepreneur and if it can help you, it’s cool otherwise I continue to do what I like in my bubble. It doesn’t interest me to know what people think of me (this is for my parents too).

I convey to you what I learned, what I learn and what I will learn.

And you, do you document your passion ?

Mes Documentaires

my documentary

the family

Lazy To Train ? Test Temptation Pack

lazy fitness

In life, there are things we should do, things we need to do and things we want to do.

You and me, we know, it’s always the things that we want to do they have priority over things we should or need to do.

So that we have situations where we do the important things at the last minute and often with enormous stress.

But what’s the temptation pack

treadmill laptop

Katy Milkman of the University of Pennsylvania conducted a study on this concept . Here the study’s subject :

Participants were randomly assigned to two groups. The first group (full) has access to a gym with the option of listening audiobooks. The second group (intermediate) has access to a gym with a limited time for listening audiobooks.

51% of participants in the first group (full) and 29% of participants of the second group (intermediate) went to the gym more frequently.

It’s cool as an idea to be more consistent in his training program. Now we can adapt this concept for other things :

  • Do you like a TV show or a youtuber ? Take your laptop or your smartphone and watch it during your cardio (treadmill / elliptical)

  • Do you like your video game on your smartphone ? Play during your rest time between sets.

  • Do you like listening audiobooks or podcasts ? Listen to it while you clean your house, doing the laundry or ironing. This can be a task not very motivating as cook healthy meals.

Do you understand the pack temptation’s concept, it’s cool. Do things we should and we need to do by combining an element that we find cool. Tasks we find boring become less boring !
